about

"Books & Bars" is Darkecy's 3rd solo release but it is undoubtedly his most professional. The Rwandan colllege rapper, who is now residing in Upstate NY, says this album describes his experiences learned in the past 8 months of living in the USA.
"There's so much people don't know," Darkecy said, "And I take it upon myself as my social responsibility as an artist from my own unique background to spread a message...to enlighten people. But first, I have to read."
Darkecy also expressed that his work ethic also comes with a "play hard" parallel, which he also exposes in the dance tracks on the album.
